New member here!
Hey everyone. My name is brogan. I have an '09 Honda Fit Sport Metalic Blue that I bought in November 2008. I love how the car drives and looks. However, unlike most people here, I have made ZERO modifications to it. My automobile knowledge is very limited. I have never really worked on a car, so I would say I'm a beginner. The idea popped into my head at work this week that maybe I should start. I figured that it would almost be like getting a new car/ reinventing my old one.
What I'm wondering is what you guys would recommend me starting with. What I want most are tints and new black wheels. I would like to do some interior stuff too. Maybe some audio modifications. Any advice would be appreciated. Ill try to upload some pictures although it's a basic model so everyone should know what it looks like.
Can't wait to meet some new people and learn some new things.

First piece of advice is research, research, research.
Second piece is do not buy cheap parts. If you want wheels and tint, awesome get them. However, make sure to buy good tires with your wheels and try to get lighter than factory wheels. The Fit does not deal with extra wheel weight. Wheel hop becomes alot more difficult to manage and performance in all categories will suffer with heavier wheels.

Like stated above. Do LOTS of research. Read threads and get to know the vehicle itself. You'll find tons of good info on here but remember, there's also a whole lot of junk to sift through. by reading threads and getting to know members, you'll see who has some decent knowledge and who has the "DEFINITIVE, SUPER, ULTIMATE, SUPERIOR"... (NOT) knowledge on the baord. Read some of the arguments on the board too and then search google for info. look for reputable sites as well.
Then... be sure to search search search before posting a new thread.
As for performance, there are two ways to obtain. Improve power, or reduce weight. net result is the same, and the fit responds to less weight... more power isn't really an option.
Lastly, welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm not a cheap guy so I'm prepared to spend a good amount to make sure things are done right and look good. I'll be sure to make use of the search feature before making new topics, unless it's something very specific to my needs. Looks like there is a lot of good info on this site. Can't wait to get going
