I have been looking for a pet barrier for my Honda Fit 2012! Does any body have any ideas? The ones you can buy for most cars do not seems to fit in the Fit due to the seat belt that is connected in the back upper left( if looking at the car from behind).
I have found a company that makes them specifically for the Honda Fit but they only make them for 2002-2008 models is there a big difference in the 2012 shape? any ideas would be useful!
What do you use?

 

FYI mine is a base model

 

My dog is trained to get into a wire crate and stay when told to. I put the crate into the back of the car, open the side door of the crate, open the rear door on the drivers side and he gets in it... I did see a Petco ad for a barrier that clamps to the headrest post.. You might do a search on Amazon.com, I find all kinds of stuff there..

Honda Fit Accessories - Genuine 2009-2012 Honda Fit Interior Accessories Partway down they list a pet barrier that they say works. No idea if it actually does.

Unless you have someone in the center seat, you can retract that belt into the ceiling.
