Spoon Valve Cover

Is this nothing more than a decorative piece?

You could have your valve cover powder coated for less than half of that. That is an insane price.

Yes just decorative. You could buy a brand new valve cover for about $100 and then have it powder coated like Funkster mentions, this way you would have zero downtime, except for replacing the 2 pieces.

Also if looking at the intake manifold, it is the stock GE8 piece just covered. An improvement for the CR-Z, but no change for the GE8. AJ saying it has bigger runners is not really being truthful, it's not like Spoon recreated the intake manifold, just took the GE8 piece and applied it to the CR-Z, same with the cam kit they offer. Just using GE8 parts.

^^^ Exactly. It's the same size as our stock part, just painted. For GE8 owners we won't see any performance increase.

It works for the CR-Z's cause they're cams/intakes are slightly different (but close enough to be swapped with the GE8's for performance gains). especially after they tune it with Flashpro.

(as mentioned) You might as well get it powder coated for a fraction of the price. Even seen someone (I think on the CRZ forums) who painted their cover in a wrinkle red, looks just like the Spoon (red) version.
