oh well, they are the KING
we can't do much. is the group buy thing official... |
When I emailed them, I didn't mention group buys. So, if you want to email them about it... you're more than welcome to creating a group buy thread if you want.

When an ebay seller doesn't respond quickly, usually a bad sign.
|
I didn't find them or contact them via ebay.
I personally dislike ebay. |

Why is that? On an Audi, led is the shit, but on everything else it's rice. Which is pretty much those lights are. I know quality is no where the same, but the general idea is the same.
Or is it considered ricey, because it's an imitation? Well in that case why don't people consider all knock offs ricey? I guess it's all about price. Expensive and fugly can get away by being "baller" While cheaper more affordable=rice. Example; audi, Lamborghini, VIP style =P. A rose by any other shell is.... Lol sorry I wasn't knocking on you in any way. It's just the idea of rice that I always question. I see "rice" as more of an additude type deal, and the word is just abused. I do agree with you on the style though. Not my taste. I think they're ricey not because they borrow from Audi styling but because they LOOK cheap and overwhelming. They look good on an Audi because Audi built that look in to accentuate the car's style. http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/6...ledaudia81.jpg On a Fit I think these headlights detract from the car's original style. Rice to me means slapping a bunch of busy looking parts that make the car stand out in all of the wrong ways. There are plenty of great cheap parts, as most know I'm no purist, but the link I posted is not among them...imho. http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/6...gqso6bowsz.jpg The pair which is actually being discussed isn't bad. Not my taste, but not bad. |
I'm thinking of replacing my headlight assembly on 09 Fit, how hard is it?
The headlight assembly is only attached by 3 bolts (#16) in this picture correct? http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...tk6901_b08.png Then using the instructions for installing fog lights, remove front bumper. But since I just need to access the under headlight bolt, can I just unscrew the top & bottom clips/screws that hold the bumper on both sides and leave the middle ones attached so the bumper doesn't come off completely? http://www.collegehillshonda.com/ins.../foglights.pdf |

someone in my area said he has done it without taking the bumper off
I guess that's his trick because he is a mechanic sorry I don't know any other easy way maybe other experts can explain how to do it. |
In order to remove the headlight from the bumper (without removing the bumper from the car), you have to detach the headlight from a plastic piece that hooks the headlight AND bumper to the frame, but one of the two bolts that release the headlight from that piece releases that same piece from the frame.... and you have to reach through VERY TIGHT space after loosening up the fender liner around the front tire. The other bolt is only marginally easier to get to (under bumper by front grilles).
I know this, because that's how I did it when I did my headlight swap. Once the bumper was off, I realized... it's easier to take the bumper off first. All you need to remove the bumper it to pop various clips out and then use a 1" spatula to release the bumper from that plastic piece. Instead of fidgeting blindly in such a tight spot. Considering you've already released half the clips at the fender liner in order to reach for that bolt. |
Thanks for the replies, I guess maybe removing the bumper is the easier route.
