I would expect the next generation to be in 2013-14 when the mexico factory comes online.

 

Any new colors / features for 2013?

 

I'm hoping for bluetooth without having to get NAV, or I'll consider the yet again redesigned 2013 Civic

Well I won't be getting one. Won't be paying >$20k for a subcompact to get bluetooth.

Waiting for the redesigned 2013 Civic (maybe hatchback).

 

No more orange? This is an outrage!

 

Wow, just bought my 2012 last Friday! Sure am glad the only major change for 2013 is a different color! =) No buyers remorse.

 

Having an orangeburst metallic I was a but surprised that it was dropped. Optimistically thinking "collector's item"

Were there any other Honda Fit colors that only ran for a year?

 

I know what you mean about it being a "collectors item." I kind of wish they had canceled my color (Blue Raspberry Metallic). That would have made it a quite rare color. VW used to do that a lot (1 year for the cool colors, made them the sought after one when they all got to be a few years old).

I had a woman stop me today to ask about my car (if it was factory, or aftermarket paint, etc. She said it was "the cutest car she'd ever seen!" I thanked her and went on my merry way. Oh well!

Why do they always cancel my favorite colors? Orangeburst was gorgeous. More vibrant than Orange revolution.

Wonder how similar midnight plum will be to the former blackberry pearl?

 

Taffeta White in 2007

 

I was pretty upset they canned the Blackberry Pearl for the current year. Now having buyer's remorse a slight bit if it's coming back in a slightly different form!

But we needed a car and the white is pretty nice anyway

 

But the Taffeta White is still available in 2012.

I've found the Midnight Plum color sample from Honda's website..that's purple.

 

2012 is not a GD Fit, however.

 

Honda typically runs on a 3/2 cycle. 3 years before the minor model change where they refresh the nose/tail and add a few more things as being "standard", then two more years before a full model change (being a redesign). that said, it's not uncommon for honda to stretch these an extra year or so. I believe the last gen CRV and civic ran for 6 years and my integra ran for a full 8.

if you can wait for the '13 you'll get a better deal on a '12 (or you'll have a 1-year newer model with a '13). Either way, it'll be the same physical car with only one or two slight changes (If that).

The '13 is apparently out...it's on Honda's website.

 

RIP Orangeburst Metallic. I didn't even want an orange Fit but when I visited the dealer one just rolled off the truck and I quickly changed my mind. Love this color!

The only 2013 Honda you can get in orange is Civic Si.

 

Orangeburst Metallic was a great color. The new Plum color maybe too dark.

 

Was googling the new Fit, found your forum, and saw this concept? Have you Fit Freaks seen anything to confirm?
