24 Hour Clock

Good evening everyone,

You have all provided me wonderful information that I didn't even know I needed, and I hope you can help me with this one, too.

I would VERY much like to switch my 09 Fit's clock to 24 hour time, but cannot find how to do this anywhere, including here. I know someone asked this 3-4 years ago, but never got an answer.

Has anyone figured out how to switch the factory clock (not navigation model) to 24 hour time? If anyone can figure it out, it's you guys!

I'm almost positive that function doesn't exist on the fit.

I am starting to come to that conclusion, too, and it makes me sad. The digits are there, why would you not add that functionality? It has to be next to zero effort to include it.

Let's be real. If I designed the fit, that function wouldn't even of cross my mind.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect it from a Ford, but I would from a Japanese car, where it's widely used. I think I'm just jealous of my friends' Toyota and Mercedes that can all do it. I bought a little clock from Autozone that serves the purpose.

I just think it's weird that they thought to include customization on which doors unlock when I turn the key off, but not the ability to switch the clock.

Eh, there'll always be some feature with any car that you wish you had from another car, I guess.

I wish the fit came with a 6speed tranny direct injected 2.0 turbo, instead of a 5 speed tranny 1.5 N/A that gets roughly the same gas mileage, but eh. That's what the aftermarket is for right?

But at least you found a solution to your problem.

Isn't there just the 1 on the display, not the full 8?

They left out this "feature" because it's a 12 hour clock. It doesn't have an AM/PM indicator either. So it's not like the software is already tracking AM and PM and it's just changing the output. After 12:59 it goes back to 01:00, not 13:00.

my 96 contour could!

i also found it odd that there is no outside temp either. my 06 tc has, and my old m3 did too.
