Why hello there...how YOU doin?
Why hello there...how YOU doin?
Sup y'all. New Fit owner here. Today I just took delivery of a 2012 Taffeta White Fit Sport A/T with 16 miles on the odometer. I got it for $18k OTD and the dealer threw in some window visors and a rear bumper protector. I look forward to endlessly lurking, looking at pictures, occasionally flaming, and generally seeing how I can modify my Fit through others because my wife probably won't let me do what I want to do with mine. Anywho - hello.

Your title choice cracked me up...
Sounds like an opening line to another kind of chat forum...
Man you got a sweet deal! Enjoy your new ride and give yourself some time to get acquainted to it before you do anything crazy... Enjoy!

Danke danke. I frequent the more popular Honda forum (Honda-Tech) but the Fit sub-forum is pretty dead.
I'm already looking at changing the suspension dynamics. The body roll is killin' me...LOL. I saw that just simply changing out the springs might help with that. Any recommendations? I really don't give a whole heckuva lot about looks per se. I'm all about function. If it looks good as an by-product...so be it.

I'm with you on the function side of things! Looks for me is a by-product also and not an end result.
Body roll... already? Maybe give it a few more laps on the off ramp. You're still getting acclimated with the characteristics of the car and you'll find adjusting your driving style accordingly is the least expensive and easiest way to go. The Fit is still an econobox DD that's fun to drive.
Just my take.
I can't recommend one way or the other as far as springs go. Just look around the forum threads...

Already done...even before I left the lot. :P
To OP:
I paid $254 for my Swift Springs... and I don't regret it.
It definitely cut down on the body roll. And the 1" "drop" (it's actually 1.2" front and 1" rear) is very pleasing to my eye... though I hadn't plan on caring about lowering the car.
I paid about $1500 for a set of 16x7 +43 Enkei RPF01 with 205/50 Conti DWS tires.
One of my stock Dunlops got a bubble AND a hole in the sidewall, so instead of just just replacing the tire, I got new wheels and tires. I had planned on doing it much later in the car's life... but when I got that flat, I figured, "what the hell, might as well."
And with that spring+wheel+tire change... I go down ramps quick and match (or even beat) traffic by the time I really have to mix in with the lot... even on stupidly short ramps like Willow Rd onto I-94, north of Chicago.
To be honest, the Fit is the first car that I really noticed "body roll." And that's because the Fit is the first car I really bothered to "Drive." While one of my previous cars (Mitsubishi Mirage) was zippy, I never pushed it much.
Little less heat being generated inside, meanins you don't have to have the A/C as high.
Putting some front windshield shades will also help this.
Along those lines, putting door visors means you can crack you windows without generating too much noise or letting the rain in.
The visors also allow you to leave the front windows cracked open, without being obvious. This will allow some of the heat to vent itself out while the car is parked.
