unlock all doors with single press on remote?

Has anyone figured this out? I would like to program it if possible. Sometimes my fit doesn't register the 2nd press on the remote to unlock all doors and with an arm full of groceries/equipment/stuff it gets annoying having to fumble for the fob again.

Thanks

The remote transmitter unlock feature is not programmable. We're stuck with the factory settings.

I'm just glad they put the remote entry feature on the base so it was possible to add a remote key. Fumbling with keys in the tailgate and then in the driver's door was the epitome of annoying.

Would be a good feature, but like previously mentioned, not possible. Same with pretty much all Hondas.

Me either (well I only had the car a week). But in my last 2 cars that I've had a total of 6 years or so, the key was NEVER put in any doors/trunk.

Mine had the same problem. I went to the dealer and they reprogrammed the box inside the car for me. Although mine is a remote starter model with security. That might make a difference.

While they were in there I also got them to adjust the time the car stays on after I use my remote starter from 5 mins to 15 mins to give the car enough time to warm up in the winter months. 5 mins wasn't cutting it. Also I no longer have to press my remote twice to hear the audible beep letting me know that my car is locked and security armed. One press does the trick.

Here's an idea worth trying:

There is a mod in the owners manual to make it so when the car is out of park all the doors lock and when you put it in park all the doors will unlock. Would this setting allow for the regular key to unlock all the doors at once on the first press? Might be worth a try.

That makes no sense at all. Does the button on the remote make the car shift into park?

It has nothing To do with being in or out of "Park" I did that to my car when I first got it, and all it does is it locks my car automatically when it's moving, and unlock it when I shut off my car.

Not relevant to anything OP is trying to achieve, which is one touch key fob, unlock all car doors and hatch instead of the twice button pushing require now, but has already been stated as not possible.

And Dwalbert320, there is no such thing as a "remote starter model with security" remote start is an add on option they do at the dealer. I also have no idea about what he meant with "reprogrammed the box inside my car."

I am assuming you are being funny.

No. But you can program your car (nothing to do with the remote at all at this point) to unlock all the doors when the gear selector is put into the parked position. Then, when the gear selector is out of park, all the doors will lock. From the factory my car would only unlock the driver side door when it was put into park. After I READ MY MANUAL I made the change.

So, after this small modification there is a chance that all the doors will unlock or lock with one press of the regular key button. It is worth a try. Since, after all, no one else actually proposed a solution...

Nope. No chance. I can guarantee you. Has absolutely nothing to do with wireless entry.

Edit. OP your only real option is an after market security and keyless entry option.

Here's a part number for you.

08E92-TK6-300A Remote Engine Starter attachment for SPORT models (security).

You can see the programmable box in the installation guide easily found on Google.

In the End, When I push my remote all the doors unlock. With one press.

: rotfl:
I don't get the Rotfl or your point. I see a part number for remote start attachment I see Honda sells a base, sport, and sport navi model. Please state any dealer where they list base, sport, sport navi and, "remote starter model with security" as an alternative submodel.

That's not true either. There are 3 selectable modes for the doors in the manual.

1-factory default
2-The car senses when it's moving and locks the doors ( like yours is set in now)
and a
3rd mode. This mode forces the car doors to lock or unlock based on the Park position of the shifter.

Again I read my manual and there it was....Just like magic!!!
