A/C issues?
Ive grown used to it taking FOREVER to cool off in the Fit - but today on my way home from the grocery store, the a/c setting was at 3 and was not blowing any air, i turned it to setting 4 and worked just fine, back to 3,2,1 nothing. Mind you my husband took it to Houston today and he said it was working perfectly for him and even on the way to the grocery store it was fine - just on the way home
Any ideas?

is it working now? also, the 1-4 adjusts the fan speed, doesn't have anything to do with the air temperature. on older hondas, the 1-3 can go out because a relay fails. I'm going to assume it was a fluke.
No, still not working. and I know the numbers have nothing to do with the fan i was just expressing my issues with the air temperature. I just checked (been home about 30 minutes) and still no air on 1,2 or 3
was the air not cold? did you have it on the cold side of the hot/cold dial? did you have the ac button pressed in? did you have it on recirculation mode?
Air Conditioning Only Works on Full Blast !!!
Q:
I have a 1999 Nisssan Altima and all of a sudden the air conditioning will only work when I set the blowers on the top output. The range is 1-4 (4 being the most air coming out)...my a/c only works when I have it on 4. This waste and I'm freezing...anyone ever hear of a problem like this?
A:
The resistor circuits (3 resistors on a replaceable module) have gone bad. Usually, the lower fan speeds are obtained by running the positive power to the fan through one or more electrical resistors which cuts voltage and produces a lower fan speed. The highest fan setting in 12 volts, with no resistors. Therefore, when the resistors go bad, only the fastest speed works.
Usually, this module is easily replaced, and is often found on the passeger side of the car, under the dash or in the engine compartment. Try posting in the Nissan section to find the exact location.
The replacement part is likely only available through the dealer.

Well Im glad its still under warranty. Im still like WTF lol
Had my auto window go half way up and then back down by itself the other day - all the dash lights come on and back off. WTF is wrong with my car! lol

also, your car uses the same amount of power/fuel to turn the AC compressor regardless of your fan speed. so if you're going to get worse mileage by using the AC, might as well get the most out of it. If i use the AC or defrost (also runs the AC pump) I will run it at full blast long enough to feel the cold then click the AC button off and enjoy a minute or so of cold air
hopefully they can figure out what's wrong with that while they are working on your fan resistor issue
Well the window and light issues hasnt happened again in a month or so but ill be sure to bring it up when I go. I guess I should be happy the a/c didnt go out completely, I think I would die in Texas lol
Blower motor burned up the resistor pack. Blower Motor Resistor Inop Dealer should fix it under warranty.

Weird, the exact same thing happened to me today. I actually came here to ask about it and saw this thread! 1 -3 I get absolutely nothing, then on 4 it works fine. I actually took it to Honda today to have the oil changed and did a whole shebang type of service where they check the AC so maybe they fudged something up. I'm definitely taking it back first thing tomorrow. Here in Tennessee the humidity is downright evil so I definitely need to avoid not having AC.
2010 Fit Sport btw.
