Hey 555sexydrive just weird that sombody could be so influenced to just want to be a nag instead of just hanging out and talking about cars. But I'm over it. So bored with that stuff.:D Just seems to come from a few people. Lots of cool folks on here.
Seems to have mellowed out a lot lately. Don't have to worry about getting shit for posting, how you type, etc. Alrighty then here are my install tips.:p Super easy. Just have to remember to pull it from the front edge (towards the front of the car). It will break the old lens and not come out if you pry on the other end. Don't ask how I know. SHoulda shut the latch first to turn off the light. https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/pict...pictureid=6233 It justs swings down on the wire so you can unplug it. https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/pict...pictureid=6235 Then just swap the bulb or install led. https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/pict...pictureid=6232 |
Okay, here's a stupid question. What LED bulb am I looking for if I wanted to swap that in when replacing the cover? I tried to search the forum, but I think my key word fu failed.

I got my LED bulb from College Hills Honda. On their website you can look it up by vehicle. I bought one for my GE and one for my daugter's GD. The bulb is the same for both vehicle models. The swtched lens cover is also the same for both models.

I suddenly have the urge to tell you kids to get off my lawn.

I found my Fit switches the light off if I leave the hatch open for more than 20 minutes. The problem solves itself.

The 09s (at least) aren't that smart. Interior lights, yes, but not the hatch/luggage area light. Lots of stories about people running down their batteries leaving the hatch ajar.

All I did was install the LED. I figure it could run all night without running the battery down. I haven't tried it yet, of course.

It only took me like 9 months to get around to it, but I finally switched out my light cover. I am pleased as can be. Thanks everyone in this thread for your help. ^_^

Want some serious light in the hatch area? Sick and tired of fumbling under the "glow" of that cheap sidelight? Try wiring in one of these:
6K WHITE 48 LED CIRCUIT BOARD 194 921 57 1156 3175 211 I created an extension lead from the sidelight, drilled a small hole above in the left sidepanel, running the wire to the center of the package shelf where I attached the square LED board with black zipties thru the shelf. WOW! :eek3::cool: Lights up that cave like daylight! |
