2012 Mugen-style Front Lip

The JDM Fit Shuttle has the same bumper as the 2012 Fit:

Henceforth, the Mugen Shuttle has the perfect grille/lip for us 2012 Sport owners:

As such, as part of the general JDP decorum, we'll need ten people to commit to buy (and are willing to pay deposits) Mugen replica grilles and front lips if there are that many interested.

You're also welcome to buy unpainted OEM Mugen Shuttle parts for $1,000 plus shipping--I'm considering it.

Also, if anyone has contacts in Japan, I may be willing to buy a genuine Mugen lip myself.

I brought this up in the JDP lip thread, it seems as if most of the community would rather have the 09-11 style lip. I'd much rather have something like the Mugen as well, but at this point I'm looking to get a grille before a front lip.

Front Grille:
1. FittedOnEm

Front Lip:
1. BlueBoogers

I actually may just man up and get the real thing. I get pretty cheap shipping inbound from overseas. Haha

Why Honda doesn't bring Mugen lips for the 2012 here is beyond me. Likely there isn't a market for the cost of shipping it all but seriously bring like 20 and they'll all sell.

Because Americans only want things that are super-sized from hp to chassis

Good thing I get dirt cheap international shipping and I have contacts that are commercial transit pilots. I may be able to pull this off pretty affordably.

Since this is going to be a grille and bumper change, do you think this would work for older GE8 models as well. Are the headlight housings the same?

If it's a lip (as the OP stated), then you can't use the grille (length issue).

I'm glad there's an option as far as a lip but the price (MSRP) is a little high. I wish I could see the grille on FittedOnEm's car haha

Most likely it will work for the older model as well. The Fit Shuttle did not get the new style headlights like the newer GEs here and the front has the same elongated face like the North American GE. I don't know if the bumper support bar exists on the Shuttles like the North American model GEs. That might be the only difference and not sure if that will play a part or not in the actual fitment.

Any information you can find out locally is much appreciated!

Pretty cool idea. Another option for 2012 Fits is this Modulo garnish for the front lower lip.

Would've thought there was more too it with the whole USDM elongated GE8 nose. If the Fit Shuttle can swap over without having to cut/re-weld, it would open up quite a few options for USDM owners.

Sorry for the thread jack, but does the Fit Shuttle have the same tail lights as the US GE8 Fit? I might (as in very slim chance ) go to Japan early next year, so I might (as in very slim chance ) be able to get a set or two of tails.

Mods/whoever, delete this post if necessary.
