Show your shift knobs (manual owners)

The stock shift knob seems a bit low. There are times when I reach forward but can't seem to grab it in a natural position. Maybe (and it porb is) it's just me but a taller knob would help greatly. Anyone else feel the same and what knob do you have? I rather NOT use a knob extender bc the boot would be too short.

Show us what you have and how well it works!

No, not like.
Four-foot Dodge Viper shifter mod is a head-scratcher

You'd get used to it. Feel free to modify though

I use an old style Mugen "dildo" knob right now and it does a decent job for my arm length (I have longish arms) but I still have to reach for 5th a little. 1-4 I can shift with my pointer finger.

I've been debating using a curved extender and ball knob and just throwing a big zip tie on top of electrical tape to keep the boot close to the ball, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I don't really know of any knobs you could throw on that would make the shifter signifigantly taller without an extender except for bubble knobs, but if anyone has any suggestions i'd be interested.

Here's my 13 ball shift knob. 'Twas originally dark orange, which matched my Orange Rev '09. Instead it has faded to more of a yellow. Got it off Amazon after my original knob fell apart.

i found that if you get brushed metal it does not get as hot as polished metal. the texture has a lot to do with heat.

as for the cold.... it's cold in the winter. hahahaha. this is why i got the leather knob this time on my winter dd ('12 FitSport).

Mugen shift knob with the Mugen short-shifter here. Height is OK for me but my wife says it's too low for her; the knob is a bit large, too. I'm considering a switch to the OEM leather knob or perhaps something else taller.

Currently rocking the gold Ti J's knob, replaced the J's blue Ti knob this past weekend. It is never too hot nor too cold in both extremes of the season. Was the same way with my old Honda Ti knob in the 5R and AP2 as well.
