What should the new Fits have as in options for us in north america

Just in case Honda Canada/US is viewing these threads....here is what I wish, back when I picked up my 09 Fit, would have had to offer..........

-Please add ur comments/ wish list-

- sunroof
- 6 speed manual
- a Si version (more power than base with cruise control)

Basically a loaded model with manual.

Or just a 5 door civic Si

Manual windows.
No cruise.
No A/C.
No stereo.
Smallest steel wheels possible.
Least insulation possible.

Essentially fuel saver/lightweight model.

I would totally love this, but would keep the radio, maybe just make it 2 speakers in front doors or something.

And add manual steering rack

Yes please to the manual steering rack!

How about this compromise:

Wiring in place for stereo/speakers, you just purchase them separately? Boom!

That would be fine, just put a blockoff plate on the dash.

Thanks,
Wanderer.

I too would like to see some upgrades.
Since there is no Civic Hatchback, an Si/SiR version of the fit with:
- 150+ hp (maybe a tuned R18 or it's replacement)
- Rear Disc Brakes
- 6sp MT

All Fits should have:
130hp (L16?)
Bluetooth with BT Audio
Better sound Deadening
Better Tires

No thank you.

Bluetooth with BT Audio

Eww no.

Better sound Deadening

Car is already very quiet.

Better Tires

Meh. Better is subjective.

I just realized one thing all Fits should have:

A maximum weight of 2400 lbs.

DEM MPG!

I think that would be entirely possible to get close to that considering 2010 MT is only 89lbs over that, remove all the A/C and electronic stuff, sound deadening, power steering components.

You could take out the spare tire and TPMS if it wasn't for stupid US law requiring onboard nanny

I wouldn't think a lot of these would sell, but then again I still see a lot of Civic CX and VX on the street to this day, so who knows.

You use to be able to buy the original Miata w/o A/C, power steering, cruise. Mine has manual windows, no cruise, no ABS basically no insulation.
As for the next Fit we know it will be 127HP and 111LBs of torque. I would like it to be light weight, more aerodynamic, wider front wheel wells, lower wheel offset, and a SI model.
