What color should I paint my winter rims?

Well, it's getting near time to put snows on again and I rocked the black 14" steelie look last year, so time for a change! Looking for some silly suggestions as to what to do with the rims. They are plain jane 14" black steelies and will be going on my white 2011 base.

Right now I am thinking white to match the car, but convince me otherwise!

When I lived in NJ, I always wanted to do a ridiculous color for winter wheels. Something like red, green, etc. If you wanted to spend some time, maybe polish the steelies. Otherwise white would look nice. Would be tough to keep clean with all the winter crap on the roads however.

In the end, I simply selected flat black since it was the only color that Autozone had. :P

matte black looks great, and easy to apply.

but steelies are already black. hummm... how about gunmetal or bronze? or just leave it black.

I am actually likeing the idea of rediculous colors like Shamoo mentioned.

Maybe red and green for port and starbord like on a boat!

Royal purple. If you have a good selection of paint at the auto store, Mopar Plum Crazy would do the job. GM Hugger Orange would pop, too. They're just steelies, go nuts.

RED. It'll be easier to pick the white fit out for passer-byers if you slide off the road

Prep it with white Plastidip and yu can paint it any color you like. then change it when you feel like it. Red & yellow plasti-dip is easy to find in stores.

Silver if you wanna keep it civilized.

Or metallic blue with metal flake. You can buy the cans at pepboys, very easy to apply, flake is very noticeable. I've done it once to some junk stock wheels, came out great for spraypaint.

This stuff

Ridiculous.

So we know your car is white

White can work with a whole lot of colors. You could do a glossy black (not flat black), The following bright colors would work: Blue, pink, orange, green, purple, gold, red, and silver. The lug nuts need to be chrome.

The short list of rim colors would be red, blue, black, and gold.

While the idea of red to be easy to spot in a snowbank is good, I get the feeling that I would need to be on my roof for it to work :P

The idea of purple is growing on me, I am thinking I will go with that.

Traffic cone orange. If you were ever caught in a snow drift in a white car, it would be very difficult to find. A nice bright color would be visible if at least one of your wheels were exposed.
