2013 Taffeta White Fit Sport

Went ahead and traded in the 2005 SI for the auto fit(so wife can drive). It handles like a go kart and i like it pretty well. Miss the ponies and torque though. Dealer did the cleanup and such today since I purchased so late on Saturday. To my horror they put pinstripes on it. I called but shop was closed for night so they will call me tomorrow. They had better remove them. As best as I can tell they are stickers, and not paint.

wow that sucks. I wonder why they would have done that? especially if you didnt ask for them. Seems like more work for them that they normally wouldnt do if sale was already final.

Easy fix, take a hair dryer or heat gun, peel up and edge and since its so new, you can be done in 20 minutes. Trust me, new cars are much easier than 10 year our taurus's with weather beaten pin stripes. ( im an auto detailer)

+1. I believe the pin stripes are basically vinyl and they will come up easy with a little heat. The dealer had installed pin stripes on mine before I bought it, but I actually kind of like them. To each their own though.

I bought an auto so my wife would actually drive it...but its been less than a week and now I'm kicking my self for not getting a manual.

good luck with the pinstripe removal and the auto

Wow, I'd be livid if they added pin stripes before delivery without my consent. Hope they remove them for you though - congrats on the new car! Taffeta White is still my favorite color on these cars, just impossible to get around here for some reason.
