New 2013 fit

Hey guys new here and just wanted to check in. Little bit about me I used to have a 1994 hatch 1 day after engine rebuild car accident totaled it and so I bought a beater prelude, after getting tired of the constant problems I decided it was item for a new car. I immediately liked the fit always have remind me of the eg hatch. So me and my wife went to dealership Friday and got a 2013 black fit sport 5mt. Got to dealership at 5 didn't get out till 10. The finance manager and me were going back and forth on pricing and deals, I told him upfront I was a finance major lol. We leave at 10 I take my wife and daughter home and grab my bags and get on the road for Gainesville. My fraternity was having state wide initiation. The trip was only 2 hours but was awesome I averaged 36 mpg. I'm taking it in for tint later this week plan on posting pics after tint. As for numbers I got it for 18300 out the door with 7 yr 80k warranty. Also tried to get .9 percent financing but credit sucked so I got 3.9. Still not horrible.

What did that work out to in terms of pre-tax, title, license on just the car?

Congrats on the new Fit.
I am picking up our new Fit today
2013 Base M/T. Paid $17,000, out the door, including sales tax. I did have a tag to transfer, so that saved $100 (in FL)
Can't wait to get some good mpg! current pickup averages 16mpg

Still upset about my hatch but the fit is proving to be a good replacement I wanna get stuff for it but have to fight off the urge. Wife says any money I spend on it should be to pay down principal not to buy cosmetic stuff lol. Grays on the great price I'm in jax where you at

I'm down here in Englewood.
I know what you mean about wanting to buy goodies for the Fit!
I mainly interested in some good reasonable priced floor mats, and seat covers.
Also want to do the mod to stop the a/c from being on, when in defrost mode.
Good luck with your Fit. Get ours in 5 1/2 hours, but who's counting!

This thread has everything you need to know about floor mats--just ordered mine!

I signed the deal on Monday night, I was in and out in 2.5 hours, and about 40 minutes of that was me waffling about the color I wanted (the Blue Vortex they had in stock vs. the Blue Raspberry they would have had to get from another dealer).

Check out Clazzio seat covers. https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...honda-fit.html

I love mine. Get them from Spencer's, at Bean Garage. Great service.

Hi
I'm new here too.
Just traded in my '08 Fit for a '13 Fit, on 06 April.
Ordered my 3D mats from Joe Rau, the day before, 05 April and I just received them today 12 April.
Storm in the midwest slowed the Fedex delivery from CA to Maine.
The removable tags on the mats say Honda Fit 2009-2012 but they fit my 2013 Fit just fine.
I was going to get the Weather Tech mats like we have in our Camry and Tacoma, but these mats look sooooo much better.
I would not have known about the 3D mats if it wasn't for this site and 2012FitFan bring it to our attention
Thanks

I want to remove my fit 2013 battery in order to charge it. I am not sure what to do after removing bolts on clamp. Help.

I'm not quite sure why you posted this in the topic here, but anyhow....

You take the two nuts off of the long threaded rods/bolts to remove the hold down across the middle of the battery, remove the terminal connectors (loosen the bolts on the clamps the wires attach to and pull them off—always take the negative/ground lead off first and reconnect it last to help avoid short circuits), and then the battery should just lift out of the plastic half-box it sits in.

It's often simpler to connect the charger to the battery while it's still in the car rather than to remove the battery to the charger, although that presupposes that you have an outlet nearby or can run an extension cord out to the car.

In general, unless you have rather unusual usage patterns (such as lots of short trips and no long ones, or forgetting to turn the headlights off when you park), you shouldn't need to recharge the battery. The alternator recharges it during driving. If you need to charge it regularly under normal usage, there's something wrong with the car's electrical system.

Fit Battery Problem

Thank you for your reply once i knew what i was doing i removed the battery with no problem. You raise a good question about taking the battery out of the car. I guess it is because my car is not sitting under a car port and I did not want to leave the battery charger overnight.
