New Fit and have a few questions

Just picked up our new Fit Base M/T (Polished Metal Metallic) and have a few questions.

1. Is there a way to disable the daylight, running lights?

2. What rpm does the vtec kick in?

3. Remedy for lame dome light?

4. How accurate is the std. mpg gauge?

5. Ideas for place to mount Scan Gauge?

6. Armrest/console ideas?

7. What's a GD, GE, GE8?

That's it for now. Have to go for a ride! Thanks for any info.

4) I keep track of my actual MPG and what the trip computer says on fuelly. Check the notes for each fuel up. Most of the time my actual MPG is about 1 less than the gauge.

3) I replaced the regular bulb with a cool white LED bulb from superbrightleds.com and it helped a lot,

When I had a ScanGauge I mounted it with velcro on the steering column right in front of the speedometer.

just a thought about the scan guage. i have a garmin nuvi that works with a wireless OBD2 transmitter called ecoRoute (sp?)

with this, i get digital gauges, also data on how well im doing fuel economy wise, nav (obviously), and also works as BT for my phone. it's pretty cool.

also, free traffic, and free lifetime maps. if that matters. just thought i toss this into the mix of options.

I'm looking forward to the Automatic, which works with smarthphones.

All of these are easilly found with a search, but since I am here anyway.

Somewhere in the mid 5k range. Way more than you will typically use in DD.

4. How accurate is the std. mpg gauge?
I find mine is usually off one or two MPG. I keep tack and calculate it at the pump.

6. Armrest/console ideas?
Spend the bucks and get the factory Honda one. Trust me, it's the best one I have come across. Do the instal yourself.

satchel- that's cool too.

i think garmin has a mechanic or watnot software that monitors obd2. i'd just get a cheepo obd2 BT and use that? but would you still be able to get a call or stream music while that app is running with BT?

the advantage using ecoRoute is the wireless works separately from the BT (so you basically have 2 wireless channels running).

anyway...

elf.
I couldn't find it. Can you give me a link to it? I've heard people saying, that at 75-80 or so mph, it is what hurts mpg. That's hardly mid 5k rpm's

The vtec isn't what is hurting fuel economy at that speed. The problem is the fit is about as arodynamic as a box. (Ok, maybe not quite that bad...).
