New Fit owner! Help a newbie out.

Just purchased a brand new 2013 Midnight Plum(Dark sparkly purple awesomeness) Honda Fit. Didn't get a manual, does that fly around here? I'm really enjoying the car, everything about it has blown my expectations away. I'm going to search the forum boards but if any one has great after market websites for tires and such, I don't know if I would feel like a pretentious tool if a had a kit or some exterior modification. Those usually seem reserved for the automatics and street racer but you never know if something strikes your fancy, right? Glad to be apart of this group.

Thanks already guys. Pics will come soon. At work so I'm not near the car. I will definitely be putting better tires and rims on when I can. Also since its a 2013 I'm going to wait to see what can be done with the body unless I find out past years mods can work with it. Thanks again.

Welcome and congrats on the new Fit.All of the really fast Fits here are A/T so no worries

AFAIK no change from 12 to 13 and in most cases 2009 to present.I believe there were some minor cosmetics between 09-11 but not sure.I'm talking GE of course 2009 and up

Newbie Fit owner over here too.... I welcome you also, plan on seeing some of my 13' Vortex Blue pics here soon. Loving the car so far coming from a 99' Maxima. I thought that I would feel like a step down for me but it wasn't. Good luck, Neal

Welcome to Fitfreak!

2012&2013 Fits have pretty much the same goin' on as the 2009-2011 Fits except for the front bumper grille(wider) and front bumper(lower part) from what I recall. That bein' said, there's been a couple stuff done for 2012+ Fits like a front lip from JDP. Also, members here have gotten parts like the grille from the Fit Shuttle, which, from the looks of it, has the same front end. Everything else is pretty much the same so all you gotta do is look for GE8 parts.

I'm pretty sure you'll find everything you need on this site.

And yea, AT flies here haha. I have an AT too.

My favorite tires for my 2009 Fit are the General Altimax HP's, directional tread pattern, awesome stopping & handling, keep them at 48 psi, very flat minimal treadwear, terrific grip wet or dry.

You must have gotten an owner's manual unless you got it econd hand. Ebay has both owner manuals and servuice manuals in auction. Owner manuals $10-25 and service manuazl sets about $100, which is the best 'about $100' you;ll ever spend. In most cases there are posts, including photos and link to videos on about anything you'll want to do.

I think he meant he didn't get a manual transmission.

And- no need to post photos of a stock Fit, we all know what they look like.
