Most folks go with the yellow film on the lens. I had some yellow bulbs, but I think they were like 3.5K or some such. Each side was a different color

If your in the general CA Bay Area you should check out our local Fit club HellaFit! We have a group on FB and meet often! Come check it out:https://www.facebook.com/groups/HellaFit/

Sweet. Is there a particular reason why most go with film instead of the actual bulbs? What are the pros + cons in both?

Also I joined the group on FB ^_^

I brought these for my foglights were $26.80 shipped at the time. I had the yellow film the centers burned to a crisp after 6 to 8 months, maybe because of our winters up here.

Haha welcome to our group! Any chance your free to make the big summer BBQ meet this coming Sat 6/29? https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/car-...ml#post1189189

The main reasons I know that people go with the film are:

It's more cosmetic, IE it's ALWAYS yellow

It provides an additional level of protection to the lens from rock chips/cracks

It's super easy to self install

No real con's to either though. The Bulbs do require an HID setup with a ballast, but it sounds like you are already good there. Also I know several folks who have done both. I hope that helps!

Because when you come to your senses and go back to white light all you have to do is peel off the film.
