intermittent VSA check light

The VSA check light has come on twice now on my 2009 Honda Jazz 1.4 EX when driving under normal conditions.

Switching the engine on and off the VSA check light is not reproduced.

Can anyone advise me on how to troubleshoot this? The car has been regularly maintained but not at a dealer since the three year warranty expired. There are c. 40k miles on the car. Thanks!

Does the VSA light intermittently flash on, and then go away immediately, or does it stay on until you restart?

thanksf for the reply. both times the light remained on for a good while, until I restarted the vehicle at traffic lights.

Definitely start with the thread below.

But it looks like you're going to have to bring it in for service at the Honda dealer. Even though your warranty is over, this might be covered still... or at the very least they will give you a "good will" repair or deductions off the repair.

thanks - luckily haven't experienced any dramatic loss of engine power, but will post on the other thread. the car has no modifications and was built in japan not china!

and yes, sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order, except that I don't have a great experience with the one near me, I get the impression their solution is to replace parts until the problem goes away rather than focusing on diagnosing the issue.
