Mugen Exhaust

Okay I know that this exhaust is like WAYYY over priced for just an axle back. But i am wondering if i get this exhaust from the dealer and have them install it, will this void my warranty? even if i were to do it, would it void my warranty?

Also in reality is it even worth it? does it sound good at all/look good?

Thanks in advance!

Mugen Exhaust

I installed it myself a few days after taking delivery of my 2012 Fit Sport in Dec. 2011. Easy to install since the car was brand new - i.e., no rust on the mounting bolts - and I like the way it looks and sounds, more so on the road than just in my drive way!

Hint: if you do it yourself, use a drop or two of liquid dish detergent to slide off the two rubber bushings from the stock muffler.

No exhaust should void your warranty. If something were to happen they'd have to prove the aftermarket part caused the failure to deny the claim.

Because it's a Mugen piece and a dealership option even less reason for them to deny a claim for anything. Though I can't really think of any failures an exhaust would cause to begin with?

I got one when I first got my '10.
I love it, the sound is not too intrusive and unnecessarily loud. I also have a nice throttle response due to it.
I also have the Mugen short throw shifter, just can't stand a long throw. No voided warranties after getting the valve spring recall done a while back.

here: New Mugen Honda Fit Sport Muffler 09 10 11 Exhaust Silencer | eBay
It is SOLD now ,
but that version is the one WITHOUT exhaust tips,
only for car equipped with USDM Mugen Rear Lower Spoiler.
so the buyer must buy some kind of exhaust tips and welded to the Mugen exhaust, otherwise it would look "unfinished"

If I were in the market for one I'd get that "unfinished" one and stick the stock chrome tip on it. I like my stuff low key.

Funny thing is the muffler with tip is a few bucks cheaper than the one made for use with the Mugen rear lip. Both are stupid expensive tho.
