Where to get parts?
Where to get parts?
Hey guys,
There are a few things I want to get in the near future for our new Fit, but I have NO idea where to get them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I want Lowering springs (only want 1" front and rear), window visors, roof rack, and rims/tires. Rims & tires will more then likely come form TireRack, but I have no idea where to get everything else.
Oh, I keep reading about these Mugen parts. Where do they come from? Are they only available from Japan?
Thanks,
Adrian

1.) Get Swift springs, they are really the only option for any one who doesn't have a desire to go mega low.
2.) Mugen parts (in some cases) are available from your dealership, if not there are a few retailers (King Motorsports first and foremost) which can get them for you.

Mugen parts are overpriced parts, usually for style. People on this site seem to buy them just so they can tell everyone HEY LOOK AT WHAT I BOUGHT LOLOLOLOLOL ZOMG
Window visors can be found at your local dealership or online via a few dealers. myhondapartsstore, collegehills, bernardi, etc...
Roof rack most likely from Thule. google them.
I bought Konig Helium rims from discount tire, dropped quite a bit of weight, and also a slightly wider rim. Going with 205 wide tires in place of my current 195s, form stock 175s. I spend less then $500 for rims installed. Tires were from earlier last year, think I spend under $400

Hey now, be nice. If you look around you can sometimes find mugen parts for a reasonable deal.
I've definitely gained at least 25 whp from all my mugen parts combined.
But seriously, people don't just buy them to show off. They buy those parts for themselves to enhance the look of their cars.
Also, +1 on swifts especially if you only want a 1 inch drop.

I refuse to spend thousands on parts for cosmetics.
I will do my efficiency parts first. Then appearance. Sometimes though, I get doublers! My Heliums look a lot better then the steelies, and I dropped 25ish pounds of rotating weight off the rims. For only $470 overall

That's your choice, but you needn't go around bashing on QUALITY products that fit like OEM because you are not concerned with aesthetics.
