Goodbye FitFreak
I can't believe its already been 3 years since I turbo'd my fit. We had lots of fun blowing up l15A7's. First nitrous then turbo but fun is fun and done is done. I am moving on to my next toy. Only on the market for 2 years and tons of aftermarket support including several turbo swap options.
Focus ST
Sure I could have got a WRX or a 5.0 but that wouldn't be me...
And they are 10k more expensive.
I could have got a v6 mustang but its only marginally faster off the line, in every other regard the ST is faster, It simply cant apply all of the power to the ground with wrong wheel drive, 1st gear is useless. 270lbft of torque hits at 2,500 rpms and blows the wheels away. Feels strange passing in 6th gear harder than my fit ever did. The e-dif works surprisingly well at leaving 2 tire tracks behind.
I am going to miss my Honda Fit. But being able to gain 45 ftlbs and 30 hp with a $400 tune will take away some of that pain.

That ST of yours is not a step up. Its a gigantic leap up in power at a very respectable price level!!!
Just love them Ford seats (the standard). Recaros?? Even better. Why Honda can't make driver's seats more firm and snug beats me.
Always good to know the population getting the move up to faster machines.
Congrats and your gonna have trouble keeping the ladies away from that "eye-grabbing" yellow!!! Ford hit that color shade right on the head. Honda keeps giving us pukey yellows!!!

honda does make use of good seaats. but like any manufacturer, doesnt put them into budget cars.
Lyon, MANDATORY that you toss on a beefy front swaybar and a little bit bigger rear sway, that ass end loves kicking out even in factory form

Great choice so proud you didn't buy a v6 mustang that's just a sad car wouldn't have got the wrx either since both mustang and wrx are getting a refresh 2015 don't be surprised the new fit gets the mod support we dreamed about and ones blowin off some high boost next to your st enjoy the ford world come by and give us some updates on the st if your not deep in a st forum

Finally hit the gas hard in a corner for the first time today. Planned on it plowing through the turn like my Fit. Instead I felt something I have never felt in a fwd or rwd car, it pulled around the corner HARDER. It's similar to oversteer in my tbird but markedly different. You can feel the whole car rotating but the motion starts from the front rather than from the back and requires no steering compensation you make it rotate more or less with the pedals. It felt unnatural, yet awesome! There is simply no way to describe it without feeling it.

Price. You get more car for your money with the FoST vs the FiST. 22k for a FiST. 24k for a FoST. Dealers offering much deeper discounts on the Focus right now. The Fiesta ST is not as good a value being only 2 or 3 grand less than the Focus ST. The Focus is faster of course. Also, It's more practical if we start a family. If they could have put the FiST out at a 18k price point the might have had me but I think I'm done with subcompacts.

There are plenty of cars out there with a variety of P2W ratings, yet can do similar performance.
Transmission gearing plays a pretty big role in vehicle performance
