clicking sound under the car when using shift lever

Lately, I've been noticing a clicking sound under the car when using the shift lever in reverse and drive. I am not really sure what this is and it's getting annoying. I've been doing my own research and it could be the bushing perhaps? Does anyone have a similar experience? Any ideas.

When shifting from reverse to drive, if you don't allow time for hydraulics to hydrolize, gears to engage, and the hamsters to run in unison, it will make a single click in complaint. Get used to it. Or pause an extra second before calling on the hamsters to leap to action (wait a second before driving off).
