So I am trying to order a 12-13 front cf lip from JDP Engineering, however I haven't heard back from them.

I got John's number from a friend (shout out to EriK) and tried calling and left a text...although haven't heard anything back.

I know people get busy and stuff, but was hoping after a week I would get some contact.

I haven't tried email, because I heard calling was best.

So anyone who has ordered from JDP, is this normal? Is John still making parts? Should I call again, but I don't want to come off as a jerk for calling more than once.

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Hopefully that works. I know this is a side business for John, and I'm not expecting immediate results but contact from his side would be reassuring.

I contacted vivid racing through their live support a couple of months ago and they stated that they were able to get the parts directly from JDP but it just takes a little bit of time.

 

Dang thats not good, a few days I understand but most people can at least find the time to shoot a quick email here and there.

Same here. I would be will to do a group buy but I believe there would have to be multiple orders of the same part. Like 5 GD OR GE lips I believe (just pulling a number out of the air).

 

I've ordered 5 JDP parts from VividRacing since the beginning of November "paid in full" and I'm still waiting on my parts. No dice ;/ I spoke to someone from Vivid and he told me they've been trying to get in contact with John and they're not having any luck. I was also told that Vivid had like 10+ orders for JDP parts that's still pending.. JDP is a one man show according to VividRacing.

I'll prob wait it out until the spring. If I don't receive my parts by then I'll just request for a refund. I just think it's crazy how it's going to take 6 months that's if I wait till the spring for my parts to arrive.

That seems unfair to you, they just take your money and hope they can get in contact with John...thats a lot of faith to hold.

I'm sure there is a few people looking for lips! Considering its not easy to get maybe if we get a few people committed it will be incentive enough to actually get a reply and hopefully made.

Just contacting him is the hard part. I don't want to keep pestering the guy, or piss him off. That is a sure way to never get anything made. But at the same time how do you communicate with someone who doesn't reply.
