12 Volt Tap Off in Fuse Panel
12 Volt Tap Off in Fuse Panel
I need to source of an always-on 12 volts and wanted to tap off a circuit using the add-a-fuse device. At least in my 2009 Fit base I haven't been able to find any diagram or legend for the panel and having read a warning about the possibility of blowing the airbags the last thing I want to do is start parading around with the voltmeter. Does anybody have a diagram of the 09's fuse panel or can describe which fuse location is suitable for this?
Thanks in advance.

Here's a repair manual: Honda Jazz / Honda Fit GE8 2009 onwards Online Repair Manual
Scroll to the bottom of the lower left panel and you'll find a link for wiring diagrams.

Thanks for the info. I had seen that previously but the scans aren't all that sharp so reading the text is impossible making it difficult to determine the numbers for the various fuse positions. I was hoping either somebody might have been down this road before or perhaps had a better copy of the Under-dash Fuse/Relay Box diagram.
You won't cause the airbags to go off by checking voltages at the fuse panel. (You could if you diddle with the wiring going to the airbag itself, but that doesn't go through the fuse panel directly.)
What are you wanting constant 12V power for? Do be aware that the Fit's battery is pretty small and something that causes much drain will make it go dead in relatively short order. There's good reason why the power port is switched.

I need it for a special application with a wireless beacon. It draws pretty much nothing so for the few times it will be on for an extended time it shouldn't draw the battery down to the point where it would leave me stranded.
FYI: I noticed that the manual that zaomaster linked to doesn't necessarily render properly on a Mac's web browser. I was able to (finally) zoom on my Windows 7 system where Safari or Chrome let me down on the Mac.
