Bonnet (Hood) Gas Damper

I have been looking around for a Gas Strut/Damper set for my UK made 09 Jazz. I assume that the ones for the Fit will, erm, fit but having seen some photos I am not sure.

The kit at Redline Tuning looks the bees knees, but I am not sure it will suit.

The under bonnet shots on the install instructions show:-

but a similar area of my bonnet looks different, especially around the area of the air scoop fixings.

Are they the same? Will this kit fit? Are there any other quality kits available?

TiA

You're on your own here...

Well, if this kit you found is for the North American Fit, things will definitely look different, as we get a longer front-end that's shared with the JDM Fit Shuttle. So our bonnet is not the same as yours.

That said, if the installation requires drilling holes, using the same measurement from the end of the hinge should result in success.

ok I have redlines in my other cars and yes, definitely the bees knees (my 2 cents are to spring for the all stainless steel ones)

you should give them a call and ask. I'd wager they fit using the same measurements, but I cant recall seeing anyone post about this yet.

Thats what I thought but I wanted to ask first. As the Air Intake Scoops are different I don't have the mounting to line up the pop riveted bracket so I really need to know the distance from the bonnet edge.

I'll contact Redline again and see if they have it in their files somwhere.

I'll consider the Stainless ones, they certainly look good in the photos.
