Clips for shield on underside of hood

Pardon my ignorance in advance as I'm not that savy with automobiles. I have a 2009 Honda Fit Sport. On the underside of the hood is this shield, splash shield maybe, held in by clips/fasteners. Somehow all of mine except 2 have snapped/fallen off over the years. I need to buy some replacements as this thing is sagging big time now. Is this the right part?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've attached a pic so you know what I'm talking about.

And has anyone else had this problem? Seems I lose one when I close the hood sometimes. I hear them go flying and sure enough 1 is gone.

That shield actually acts as an air duct to deliver air to the throttle body area. If you notice it starts near the front grille and ends near the throttle body. I have had a couple of these pop loose from my 2009 Fit as well. Your link for the clips should work.

I don't think those clips will work they look too wide in diameter. Is it possible to remove one of the clips holding on the air duct and look at that? Use a flat had screwdriver and pop one out.

You can always go to a Honda dealership and buy some clips or you can go to an auto parts store (Like O'reilly ) and they sell a bunch of "trim" clips.

Take a look at the part diagram on a Honda website (honda parts cheap for exemple). Write down Honda's part number. Then look on ebay with that number to find replacement much cheaper.

Thanks for the help everyone. I ordered the clips just to try out since they are only a $5 investment. If they don't work I'll try the other suggestions.

Is there any danger to this part hanging down due to not being clipped in properly?

Based on your photo that has only one of these clips missing I would not worry. But driving around without this piece attached would be another issue all together.

Just wanted to update this thread with my results. The clips I posted in the initial post were too big. I re-ordered some slightly smaller ones (8mm):

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These were bigger than the ones originally used in the car but they did fit if I gave them a good push. The duct is secure again. Probably better than before. The old clips let it wiggle around and that's why they kept snapping/falling out. It was hard to tell in the pic but I had 3 clips missing so this was urgently needed.

Why don't you just go to the Honda parts counter at the dealer? Clips are not expensive.

I am going to try these out http://a.co/3Hk1ycV

thanks for confirming the size that it is 8mm! I had some spare 10mm and I was wondering why they weren't working.
