I had a hitch put on right after purchasing new. I don't hook anything to it to haul, rather I have a wheelchair carrier mounted to it to carry my lightweight manual chair.

Over the years, the hitch developed a nasty squeak. Found out recently that the welds on the car where the hitch gets mounted had cracked, causing the hitch's nuts/bolts to loosen and squeak.

According to hitch repair guy, the original welds were not quality welds in either workmanship nor material (sorry for lack of detail, got this second hand from hubby).

Anyone else experience this?
