I'm running General Altimax R43 205/50-16 on 16x7 rims on my 2011 Sport. They have them in the 185/55-16 size for the OEM rims (16x6). Mine are still in really good shape after 20K. Live in PA so hot / cold / snow - all good

thanks, because I have separate snows on rims I was thinking straight summer tires? I like the idea of wider rims.

Just remember that wider tires will need less air pressure to carry the same car weight as the OEM 185/55-16 on Sport. I figure about 29-29.5 psi does the job on those 205/50-16 Generals. The TMPS system on the 16" OEM wheels is set to alert you at 27 psi, every fall / early winter as temperatures drop, so does my tire pressure (1 psi / 10 deg F). My low tire pressure light comes on, I refill the tires to 29-29.5 psi under colder environmental temperatures (approx 35 deg F) and I'm good for the rest of the winter / spring / summer. Once you have the routine down, it's no problem.
