Dead battery but sounds like a motor running under the engine area?
My first post. I did a search but didn't find anything: if I missed it please point me in the right direction. Thanks.
2012 Honda Fit Sport, 50k miles. My granddaughter left the lights on and killed the battery. When I drove over to jump it, I found there was the sound of an electric moter running somewhere in the area of under the engine, left side, front of the car. This was with the key removed from the ignition. When I turned the key to try starting the car (it wouldn't start because of the dead battery, of course) that motor noise stopped but started again when the key was turned off. When we started the car with a jump the noise went away completely.
Can anyone fill me in on what it is?
