Gas smell after spark plug change
Hi guys,
My 2010 Honda Fit passed 100k miles recently. I bit the bullet and swapped out the plugs on my own. All in all took me 4.5 hours from beginning to end. Probably not the best time but being it was my first time I went slow to make sure I'd be able to reassemble.
Car runs noticably better, but now I notice a gas smell coming into the cabin from the air vents when stopped at a light. Any ideas what I can check? I checked all my clamps and hoses but feel like I'm missing something.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

I always torque spark plugs... especially in aluminum heads. I didn’t know the exact torque spec for my Fit. I hand tightened them with a socket on an extension and then used a torque wrench. I set it to 15 ft-lbs. No gas smell in 20k miles.
