Question ? battery terminal access ?

The dealer service guy yesterday said my battery was low when I had it in for A-1 service (2013 Sport - 37,500 miles - 5 MT). Lately, I don't drive it a lot (old phart - retired guy - NOT a mechanic!).

So my question - how do I get that big red thing off the battery terminal so I can connect a Battery Tender clamp to it to keep it happy? (At least I know enough to be able raise the hood.)

Reckon I could go back to the dealer to ask - but the keyboard is closer and I'm still in my PJs.

I am likely older (76). Last year I replaced my battery with a 51R for more cranking power in the winter. I broke some of my red thing. Check out this U-Tube link
