Need help with stuck driver's seat

I have a 2012 Honda Fit Base. The driver's seat is stuck in the furthest back position. I couldn't see a coin and was at wits end so I went to the dealer. $85 later, I was told that it would be a $1300 repair since the rails are "bound up."

On the driver's side, the 81526-TK6-A01 Seat Back Frame (roughly $900) is just a couple of parts that I believe includes the rails, seat frame, and latch. (See diagram.) I know that I can find an OEM part shipped for a couple hundred less, but it's still too much money.

I found 2 threads about precautions when removing front passenger seat (i.e. remove air bag fuse, disconnect battery).

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...sassembly.html

I think I have found a full left driver seat assembly for the correct years--I am just waiting to confirm that it is from a Base model and not the Sport.

Due to safety concerns about the air bag, I cannot just pop this used seat in. 1) At first I was thinking of getting this seat and stripping the whole thing down to the frame parts I need. Then I could let the shop go for it with 3 hours of labor. 2) Or could I take the newly purchased seat, have them install it, but keep my seatbelt, air bag, and/or key safety parts.

What do you think is my safest option? https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fit...6b29229919.jpg

Go here... car-part.com

Put in your location, 2009-2013 Honda Fit, and "seat track" for the part. I see them ranging from $35-75 in my area for the drivers side seat tracks.

Removing them seat is SUPER easy. Disconnect battery, remove 4 bolts, unplug a few connectors and remove the seat. Then swap the rails.

Unfortunately, the passenger side has the seat track, but it appears that the driver's seat is not the same.

How do you disconnect the rails from the seat? I can't find any obvious disconnection points nor any diagrams online.
