Cooling system ?

Cooling system ?
With the circular dial that determines temperature set all the way to the left ( cold ), ( blue side ), does coolant flow through the heater core or is it shut off from the radiator/engine cooling system?

It should be completely off at that point , no coolant flowing through the heater core .

Leak in the heater core sealed off, 1000.00 repair bill averted
