Failed Mirror Switch Assembly

Hello,

The mirror switch assembly on a 2009 Honda Fit(base model) seems to have failed....
Neither mirror works in any direction from the adjuster pad.......
The switch assembly is located on the dashboard......

Is there any troubleshooting on this I should do? Is there a fuse? if so, where? Etc. Etc......

Any suggestions regarding remedying this situation would be greatly appreciated....
I have not purchased a new switch yet. So, even best place to purchase parts would be great...(if in fact it is the switch --- Are these prone to failure?????)
Thanks, Just

Check the fuse first. The fuse panel is behind left lower dash panel. It is No. 10 (7.5 A) fuse.

Now may sound stupid but you do have the ignition on when trying to adjust?

I agree with Black3sr. Check out the easy stuff first like a blown fuse before buying anything other than a volt-ohmmeter. .

Yeah, I will check the fuse. #10 Thanks!

In any event, I am not that optimistic......

What does it take to get that switch assembly out of the dashboard?

Can anyone highlight what I am in for?

Thanks, J

AYE!

I figured I would let you know how this panned out.....
I pulled the lower skirt off under the dash to check for fuses.....
and I figured I would shine a light up in dash and see what the back of the switch looks like
WELL,,,, IT LOOKS UNPLUGGED!.....
I was like WHAT!..... could it be that easy!
So I plugged it in........ I seemed to be working fine after that......
I will try it again..... tomorrow.......... even though I have the mirrors adjusted nice nice now

Regards J

Yeah, Glad I looked up in there........

And it is pretty vacant (empty real-estate) so I was able twist my head and neck with some good light up in there and see clearly.....
STRANGE though that it was disconnected... It clipped in fine when I plugged it in.. I heard it click in....
I just wonder (either someone was in their in the past) OR when the car was built (they didn't push it in enough to get it to CLICK)
