Other Steel Rims that will fit THE FIT

Hello,

It is a 2009 base model. 175 65r 15's

I would like to go to salvage and get another set of rims.....
I can't find any fits in the Junkyard............. Called lots of places....
Is there any other rims that are possibilities for Fitting THE FIT 2009
I figure I will purchase a set of new sensors.
THanks J

Civics from 2005 back to the 90’s will fit (unless it’s a EP3 civic Si from 04-05). After 2005 civic went 5 lug. Mini coopers are 4 lug but may require hub centric rings. Miata wheels again possibly a different hub size. Your best bet are pre 2005 Civic wheels.

Thanks!

That good newws!.....

As far as wheel sensors?....
They will fit in rim as welll?
Do I need to go with a specific wheel sensor?
I would figure getting some new after market
sensors(dependable but “not expensive”)...

thanks, J

Wheel sensors I am unsure. I ran my winter wheels without any. They are not needed. I’m sure you could find some on eBay or Amazon for a decent price and have them installed. As far as I know they work with any wheel.

I'm look for a set of steel rims to put my snow tires on. My wheels are 175 65r 15's too (2013 Base Fit). Anyone know if 2007 Saturn Ion rims would work? They currently have P195/60R/15 on them.

They are 4x100 lug pattern but I am unsure of the offset. As long as they are high offset they should
work just fine. The tire size will make the speedo a bit off.

TPMS, which indicates sensor system failure either in the transmitters (wheel sensors because of a bad battery, broken, or absent) or the receivers (car's computer). (!) only shows up if the TPMS system is working properly and you in fact have low tire pressure (different psi alerts on 15" wheel sensors versus 16" wheel sensors).

Like Spike55 said it will illuminate the TPMS light since they are not there. I thought it would be annoying and I planned on buying sensors for my wheels but it didn’t bother me so I left it. As soon as I started driving with my other wheels the light would go back out and it was all good.

Yeah, I can relate...... It is just for a couple of months...

I may just do that too. Cause it is a PIA dealing with it....
Can always pop 'em in later if the mood strikes. Don't need the tire machine...

14" steel wheels from the base GD Fit like the ones also clear the calipers of our 2009 Fit Sport. Got them wrapped in 185-70-14 General Altimax Arctics.

Smaller rim with taller tire........ Would you say ... the Height is about the same? 185-70-14 compared to 175-65-15

The 175/65-15 needs to revolve 8.4 more times per mile than the 185/70-14 according to an on-line calculator. Tire Rack.com shows 6 different snow tires (with / without stud holes) in the 175/65-15 size.

Interesting.

So with the14" rim higher profile tire with the greater load range(load range may or may not be relevant here)... yields taller tire.....

Thanks!

Yes, you'd want to maintain as close to stock tire circumference as possible. $45 per tire before tax (185-70-14 General Altimax Arctic @ Discount Tire) and install was a great deal!

Apologies. Super late reply!

I hope you found a good deal for a set.
I got lucky and a friendly chap was selling on Craigslist his GD base wheel set wrapped in 3-season tires with moderate life left for only $60. I had Discount Tire recycle those old tires though when they installed the new winter tires.
