Exhaust install!

Hey Fit owners! I’m currently running a stock Honda Fit 2013 Sport minus some bulbs changed. Tomorrow I’m putting in a Yonaka cat back exhaust. I’m going to be posting pictures and a video of my install. Stock compared to finish. Hope it’ll help any Fit owners trying to do the same! Have a great day😁

Well. I couldn’t even get the first bolt off it was so tight on there. Impact gun and a breaker bar with pipe over it couldn’t loosen the bolt. Used WD-40 to lubricate and a wire brush to clean the threads all to no avail. Looks like I’m taking it to my local muffler shop on Monday

If you are going to try it again, ditch the WD and get PB Blaster or Kroil. Either one will work a lot better.

Well. Second round of PB Blaster just went onto the 5 bolts. Tomorrow morning before work I'm going to spray all the bolts and nuts down and let it sit all day (I have another car to use in the meantime). When I get home, the 4th total round of PB Blaster will go on and then I'm going to try again with the same tools and see if they'll loosen up a bit. Then hopefully I can get this exhaust installed and then I can get back to

Use HEAT. PB Blaster soak, then heat up those nuts. Also try tightening slightly before loosening.

Didn’t have access to heat unfortunately. No blowtorches around or any I could borrow. PB blaster, 4 treatments over 2 days yielded zero results. Still just as hard to turn as it was before. Currently sitting in my local muffler shop. They’ll call me tomorrow morning with an estimate. I’m expecting to pay $150? I can’t imagine it’ll be much more for just installing a cat back, and the technician has no other appointments tomorrow so that’s a plus. I’ll let you know how it sounds tomorrow! Thanks for all the replies!

Lesson learned: a propane torch is cheaper than 150$. ;D

Got my Fit back today! Yonaka makes a really nice cat-back let me say. At idle, there is a definite rumble that is ear pleasing for sure. Between 1000-1500 rpm, the exhaust is rather silent. This is great for commuting, as the exhaust doesn't get too tiring to listen to. Above I'd say 1600 rpm, the exhaust is definitely great! I love it. I'll be getting an exhaust clip probably sometime tomorrow
