Seibon CF Duckbill

Install coming soon....

Just recived this today. Ordered it a few weeks ago from carbonfiberhoods.net.

On their website it said free shipping for 24 hours on this part so I bought it but it still says free shipping for 24 hours today.

Only catch was it was free shipping to a business address so I had it sent to my work.

We get 15-30 huge packages a day and we are the UPS guy's first stop so when he showed up I went back to the dock and asked him if he saw a long package for me. He said he wasn't sure and then I looked down and saw a long white box that said "carbon" real big on the side. So I said "hey man that's mine give me that!"

Was very well packaged and looks to be very nicely made. Just pisses me off they didn't include the free girly calender they promised.

Had the wifey hold it up for a test peek.

They put some foam tape around the edges but most of it is miss-placed. The front part sticks out under the spoiler.

The ends have foam tape where they don't need it.

and this washer sprayer cutout should have the tape on the other side of it.

[

i swear that's an indent. Looks like a bulge in the pic sometimes. Weird optical illusion going on there.

I'm going to replace most of that with 3m double sided tape and am tempted to just stick it on there with the 3M tape.

Seems really light but if it ever let go it would be trashed. I'll probably just bite the bullit and drill holes for it.

Install coming soon!!

Finished up the install tonight. Man it's a gruesome affair drilling through the hatch especially on a base fit with no holes in it and no stock spoiler to cover it back up.

I laid some masking tape on the hatch and traced around the spoiler with a pen then measured to see where the holes needed to be. This is what I came up with.

I was able to pull up and re-arrange the foam tape that was on the spoiler.

Holes lined up well and the spolier bolted down nicely.

Looks great! I have the Seibon CF hood and it has done awesome - you should have seen my package when the hood came - it was in a huge box and really packaged tight!

I bought this because I liked the look of your spoiler. I can see some small differences but it is very similar.

It's wrapped everywhere but the mounting surface. The ends should have been wrapped though. Looks like they thought the ends would be against the car from the way they had the foam tape on there.

Need to get some full car shots with it. Looks like it might have a bit more rake to it. Hard to tell without them side by side though.

It uses different hole locations from the sport spoiler. For anybvody looking for one of these the part number is RS0910HDFIT-TR.

Took some outside pix yesterday.

Working on updating the sig pic.

when i took my 2009 in for a service recall the dealership tried to talk to me about getting me into a 2012... i wasn't sure if it'd be worth it, if anything i think i will wait until 2013 (13 is a lucky number for me).....
