07/08 Honda Fit CF Door Inserts

Depending on the amount of interest... I will do these for the general fit public. Currently I'm working on a set for a fitfreak member (front and rear CF door inserts in 2x2 carbon fiber) and here are pictures of progress. Note the carbon fiber looks dirty because it was straight out of the mold. No wet sanding or clear coat yet. I'm going to first do the other 3 before I trim and clear coat them. So it just does not look glossy. But the end product will have a super high gloss finish to them.

The price would be $350 for the front $300 for the rear or $620 for all four. Shipping would be $25 for all four or $20 for two. Tracking and insurance is on us.

If we get 3 people to purchase then you get free shipping.

5 people to purchase you guys get free shipping plus $20 off.

7 people is free shipping plus $40 off.

10 people is free shipping plus $60 off.

You can also get them unpainted (Front $200, rear $200)
Or Painted (Front $300, Rear $300)

I started by masking the front but then thought it was unnecessary since theres no way I can damage the front by cutting the back. The back of the panel had to be cut since the factory made the door panel as a one piece mold.

You can see I just cut in the center of that line and then grinded it down a little until I got far enough that the space opened.

The two rear panels out and trimmed

The mold was created - That was a very tricky and complicated task.

The carbon fiber was put up in the mold and then vacuum pressed so all the corners are tight and pushed in.

And the semi finished product

All the edges are perfect!

The group buy list would start here. All the molds are done but 1 so this could start as soon as you guys would like.

No its happening! But just FYI. This project started just about the same time as the BYS spoiler. The BYS spoiler is a straight up fabrication. This was just simply removing the panels and copying them. Thats why its done before the spoiler. When the BYS gets done I hope theres as much interest in it as ther was when it started because its becoming a costly and time consuing build ha.

Were getting to those done as I am typing this. Especially the garnishes. We found out that the mold we used warped slightly in teh center leaving a tiny wave so now all the garnishes are being fixed manually which we actually plan to finish today and prime. ALl those who ordered a primed garnish will be going out today/tomorrow (Ive spoken to several in PM) And those who ordered panited will leave at the end of this week (Including european orders)

I still need to reply to some PMs that I recieved over the weekend and I will be replying today

Interior carbon fiber

Why are people flippin out over the bys you had to make that spoiler, ie forming in with clay by hand no wonder it takes a while to replicate it. The spoiler is hand made for just the time involved it should cost the 700 dollars that the one for civics cost. Ikona your the man These door pannels are trick matched with maybe door pillars suede roof and fit could be a show car.
