Installed LED strips to GE8

today my brother helped me to install some LED strip inside my GE

as we all know the interior of the GE is not that bright!! specially the cargo area and front driver and passenger area (canadian version because we don't have reading light - is not even an option from Honda)

so I decided to get some LED strip and put them on to make my car brighter at night when I need to find stuff in the back and front!!!

We hook up the power from the 12V plug then get a switch to it turn on and off!!
we didn't hook it up to the door switch.... we want to have separate on and off....hehe = )

Let there be light!!

we put it at the top (act as a reading lamp when open)

cup holder area LED

Truck area Super Bright (2 LED strips on both sides)

Driver side rear

not really a diy... more like documenting what you did.

you don't list the tools needed, where you got the led strip, how many times you got frustrated and cursed....

on the bright side (no pun intended) all i can say is BRIGHT!

i like the trunk one. did you feed off the trunk light or is it hooked up to that central switch to turn the fronts on?

I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada
and I just pick up those LED strips from a local store
$10 per Strip
I only used 3 Strips for my set up b/c the LED strip I brought I can cut them into 2 pieces

each strip have 12 LED the truck I only used 9 LED (2x both sides) so the remaining 3 LED (2x) I put in Cup holder area and upper glove box!!
lower glove box i use 6 LED so I still have 6 LED left from that strip!!!

DealExtreme: $6.79 SMD 12-LED Extendable Light Strip (30cm / Blue / 12V)

basically my LED strip is similar to this one!!! mine is black not white
with a plug at both ends

so when I cut it .... all I need is another plug for the other end!!

thats it!!

this site got lots of LED strip and price is reasonable!!!
I think they even have free shipping!!
i ordered some stuff from there b4 and everything is still working fine!!!
