Continuing to do business with thieves is generally not a good idea.

Personally I do it every 3000 miles but I live in Arizona. But since I work in the field of vehicle durability I do not let it go past 4k regardless of where i live. And if I drive it harder I change it sooner. The dash light is great if you are doing old people simple driving. My dad against my discussion followed the Lexus schedule and at 15k his suv sounded bad. At 25k it was new motor.

Also with BMW, the v8 motors... They have the long oil life schedule. Any M5, 6 or 7 I have seen with the v8 motor at 50k is getting the heads pulled for valve guides.
Oil is cheap wen you look at a motor replacement bill.
I don't think you've read your manual or understand the function of the "dash light." Read the manual and report back.

I think 3k oil changes in a modern vehicle is wasteful and unnecessary. I use the maintenance minder, honda designed it for their vehicles, i change between 5-10 percent. If the car blows the motor before 150k,then ill probably not buy another honda but given how many 80 something civics are out there limping up and down the road I'm not worried

One thing people think is the AC smells or climate syem smells are fixed by a cabin filter but they are not. The cabin filter only filters the incoming air from outside and is before the blower. It doesn't change the smell coming from the AC if its on recirc mode. The cabin filter would only reduce outside smells coming in if it was a carbon activated type in which the Fit does come with that but typically the OEM replacements ive seen are not. The smells come from people who run the ac on and off which causes condensation build up in the evaporator which mildews. You can reduce that smell by turninhg off the AC 5mins before your destination and set the mode to fresh air to allow evap to dry.

He has a point

He has a point there are some differences with running a full synthetic oil and running a conventional oil the indicator is the best way to go but it is best to run a full synthetic oil when running with the indicator he is just looking out for his businessrunning 10,000 miles with a conventional oil is stretching it because the oil breaks down much faster it is not rated to run that long it is rated for 3000 miles the full synthetic is rated for 7000 to 10,000 especially in A zero 20 weight
I run a Firestone and we are told to tell people this bc we have to cover our business ..

And yes the 2013 Toyota Corolla's do require a full synthetic oil trust me

I don't trust the MM, because the ecu tells me I am getting 34 to 37 MPG when I actually get between 28 and 32. If the computer can't compute the mpg correctly how good is the MM? That being said, when I was younger the recommended oil change interval was 5,000 miles, eventually it became 3,000 miles (to keep oil change places busy?), now we have better oils available.
