Lot's of crazy cool parts on that car.

I'm pretty sure those are some of the Team Dynamics forged wheels you can ask them to make for you, 'cause they don't have a 10 spoke in their lineup.

Ironic...we were just having a heated conversation over there about TD wheels and aggressive offset.

Anyone want to take a guess as to what the Toda header is exactly? Then again, this is a car with Motons and Mus, so I'm pretty sure the kind folks at Toda could have been bought for a day.

The Quaife interests me. Never looked into it, I but am unaware of our LSD options.

Looks to me to be a k-series under the hood.

Yeah, I was wondering when someone was going to notice that

Regarding LSD options, M-Factory sells a quaife for the L15a. This would be a great upgrade b/c I notice that I break traction when accelerating out of corners even with UHP tires at all 4 corners.

I can always make use of an LSD - in any car, of just about any power level. It's the way an automobile is meant to be.

Doh--engine swap! Badass.

I think he meant it as general advice, because my thoughts on that first bit are probably about the same. Thanks for the link btw!

2 options with different build timelines....
1) Talk to a local performance shop and see if they'd be willing to make you some custom motor/tranny mounts.
2) Wait for the Fit to become a third owner car, when the price of ownership will fall and the warranty is voided (the GD is increasingly becoming a 2nd owner car and there still aren't any commercially available mounts).

What i mean about learning to drive your car is that most of the fit owners out there spend all this time and money "modding" your car thinking that it will make them super fast because they are "prepping for the track" but in reality, if someone just takes their stock car out to a couple track days first, not only are they going to have some track days/experience under their belt, but they're going to have a better understanding of what their working with as far as their fit goes and what setup they might want to tune their car (fyi-tuning is not just ecu, its the entire car as a whole included suspension, aero, etc...) for the future. This allows them to save money on places where they might've bjust bought a part just because everyone thinks they need it and whether the part is really functional or not is unknown, then they could spend that money elsewhere that might benefit them more.

The fit in the picture is running Moton Coilovers, Motec for their ecu and of course-a toda built k20. I don't even have enough money for any of those parts because just the c/o and ecu alone is already more than what you pay for the fit over here!

Don't get wrong, i think a boosted option would be awesome for the fit, i've been wanting one since summer of '08, but lets just look at the facts, why would companies invest a large sum of money to RnD to a kit that may cost 1/4 of what the cars worth right now? Maybe down the line, for sure, but since the GD3 was such a big fail in the states, its little hard to convince companies to take another avoidable risk.

As far as clutch type of L.S.D.'s go, honestly, just look for it because when I was searching equipment over 2 yrs ago, i was the ONLY GE on here (before there was a GE section) and nothing was laid out for me that easily. But if you really wana clutch type diff for your GE, pm me and I'll hook you up with my cusco diff.

but it doesn't help to dream right?

since honda is the Power of Dreams...

Mfactory sells their own helical type LSD for GD3 Fit, and so as Quaife. None from either place for GE8 yet as far as I know. They're similar stuff both running helical gears with minor setting difference. According to my friend who tried both on his EG civic he said the Mfactory helical unit kicks in more aggressively.

I've been using a Quaife ATB in my GD3 Fit for about 30,000km. It helps a lot no matter when I'm on/off the track. Very low maintainence on these helical unit. I just change the tranny fluid once a year before the lapping season starts. I will not recommend a clutch type LSD unless that's gonna be your track car/u aren't gonna drive it much on the street. Would recommend a 1way unit ONLY for a fwd car even if that's gonna be your track car. It's just a waste to use a 1.5way/2way on the street and if u aren't doing 8-10 lapping/race event a year. It's just tiring to fight with the steering wheel sometimes, depends on what kinda road u drive on, IMO.

I've been trying Mfactory's 1way clutch type LSD on a 92 civic. No doubt it feels really really good but u HAVE to change fluid much more often and it does chatter a bit in most cases.

Btw, wahhhhh Moton setup on a GE Fit. Aren't those Wedsport TC105 on the car instead of Team Dynamics? Hmm not sure.
