Incredible set up, Circa. I'm a big fan on the subtle, yet, effective mods. Very clean.

Love the wheels too!

I see the Remote for the Harman Kardon Drive + Play but I don't see where the display is. Is it a DP1 or a DP2?

Nice install. I had my subs in a raised floor in my integra. Still have all of the Equipment but don't have time to install. Also don't have a HU either. My integra had a Clarion DXZ835MP after replacing the DRX9575Rz. If interested, you can see my install in the Integra through my sig Pic. Its another one of my "rides" on cardomain.

I'd love to do a fresh install on the FIT but time & money are two things I don't have now. They were replaced with a Wife & Child

Quick question for you, Circa. How did you mount your single-din? Is that the OEM nav trim?

I have an aftermarket trim piece (can't remember if it's Scosche or Metra) that is driving me crazy. The radio rattles on it ever so slightly, but makes enough noise so that everyone in the car notices it. I've tried a bunch of different ways to remedy it, but my trim panel "mods" have been unsuccessful. Please tell me you have a better solution for my head unit mounting.

Wow, its kinda funny that you asked that. There has been about 3-4 members here PMing me with the same problem lol. Im using the Scosche kit but I used Metra in the past as well and never had any issues regarding rattles.

When I install these aftermarket kits, I usually apply a little Liquid Nails in the mounting holes for the braket to dash kit part and use at least 2 bolts per side that attach the HU to the kit. I also like to use HU back strapping to bolt the tail end of the radio to the back of the pocket. Also, in both my Scosche/Metra kits, I drilled 2 small holes through the pocket and into the mounting braket and bolt the pocket to the bracket. If you look closely at the attached pic you'll see the small bolt (not the red ones) and back strapping. That's an old picture from my build log with my old radio. I also added a little dampening to the plastic so feels a bit more solid and if I ever had anything in the pocket and sliding around, it wouldnt be as loud and tinny sounding.

I do have the OEM navi trim and metal braket but havent gotten around to making a trim for it yet. I'll post pics when I get around to it

I hope that helps man.

Can you tell more about that gauge pod?

That's actually a big help. Thank you for posting all of that up. I realized I have the Metra kit (and honestly now looking at yours, really wish I had the Scosche), and have determined that the cause of the rattle is the really flimsy piece of plastic that they use for the single din opening to seperate the head unit from the pocket. Neither the pocket, nor the divider, have very straight edges, and the divider easily flexes. So whenever you hit a slight bump the weight of the head unit pushes down on the divider and the pocket, and then back up against the trim, causing the eternal rattle from hell.

I tried gluing the divider to the single din frame and put foam at some points where I could see movement, but the rattle was determined to live on. The foam kept some of the rattling under control, but the divider was so warped that it still flexes under any vibration.

Time to tear it all apart again and try your method. ... Still, it seems like a lot of modification for a "direct replacement" part.

I built out the 12v outlet trim. I used MDF, fiberglass, filler and covered it in suede flock.
heres a pic of the pod before applying the flock....

NP man. The thing about these kits is that IMHO the Scosche fits a little better and but the Metra has more of an OEM appearance. They both have flaws, I wish I can take parts of the two and combine them. I think thats why I ended up buying the OEM trim. When I get a chance to work on the trim, I'll take a pic of all 3. Im probabably going to have to combine the OEM kit with an aftermarket DC integra kit.

I think using the backstrap might solve the problem.

Not quite apart of my "to do" list but I had a little time and managed to complete my OEM navi kit.

Metra (left) vs. OEM
Note the slight difference in color.

OEM piece with the Metra 99-7898 snapped into place
Notice the gap all around the Metra kit and the OEM kit and texture.

Duraglas and Rage Gold fillers

Primed (forgot to take pics), wet sanded and painted with SEM paint

I had to drill new holes and enlarge the other two holes. There are two other screws holding the Metra trim to the steel cage on the bottom half.

And the back support

I wrapped some felt around the backstrap.

Installed

I added a layer of thin felt to the bottom of the kit pocket

I also ordered a set of the undercarriage body plugs.

Oh I forgot to mention, the nice thing about using the factory navi kit with the factory cage is that you can use the factory bolt hole underneath the unit.
