B-Spec HPD Kit Overview and Installation Video
B-Spec HPD Kit Overview and Installation Video
Goes over some of the parts, and shows how to install the camber bolts and braided brake lines. From goracingtv.com: Club Racer Show -- Honda Racing HPD B-Spec kit for the Honda Fit - YouTube
edit: nevermind... it seems like you didn't. if you simply had watched the video you'd know.
I didn't install the Swifts but I did watch the video. I was simply wondering how long it would take w/o video editing...I doubt 2 minutes. Basically trying to decide if this is a minor mod or something more exstensive.

I know about the requirements to purchase this kit, but I would like to know the spring rates of the Eibach springs.
I wonder how much stiffer they are compared to the springs that come with the Bilstein coilovers.I'm sure they are stiff since this is for racing but I wonder if they would be tame enough for the street.

take off four nuts, pull off wheel.
take out OE strut bolt
put in camber bolt, tighten retaining nut almost all the way.
when nearly done, adjust bolt to get camber angle. then secure nut.
want more camber? do both upper and lower bolts on the strut (upper "points" in, lower "points" out).
put wheel back on, then lugnuts and tighten.
done.
it's not a hard job. can be done while waiting for water to boil.
Hell, if you're really dexterous... you can try doing it without taking off the wheel!
Yes this is an incredibly easy mod. Don't pay someone else to do it, do it yourself. Off topic, but did anyone see this suggested video next to this one? "Luckiest GTR" - Lucky GTR - TX2K12 - YouTube HAHA awesome.
I'd say the springs have to be stiffer than the Bilsteins. I've had bilsteins for a lil over a year, and the progressive spring rates are just too soft for race tire grip. I moved to something stiffer because they couldn't handle the grip from my new-year setup on 225/45/15 Hankook RS-3s.
If i remember correctly, i read the front springs were 5k and rear springs were still progressive on the HPD kit. HPD would not sell me performance parts as my car is still street driven, and the individual suspension components are not for sale. You can only purchase the full kit.
The new suspension i have (currently gathering pics and driving impressions for a full review) is 5k front and 4k rear with adjustable dampers and is most definitely streetable. I'm currently almost dead middle setting on the dampers on all 4 and it's composed over bumps (not sharp at all) but turn in and body roll are excellent.

Easy mod. Actually, you don't really need an alignment after that. The bolts create up to 2 degrees of camber(ingalls camber bolts) If done correctly, which isn't hard to do, there should be minimal changes, if any to the rest of the alignment. I did an alignment after mine, camber was even and it was good for the rest of it.
Yes ok you would have to pay for an alignment if you got one. That's not part of the actual "mod" in my mind tho. And anyways, after just changing the top bolt, if the car tracks fine and the steering wheel is nice and straight, then alignment should be fine.

I went from -1* to -2* of camber in the front and my toe changed drastically. Just because the steering wheel is straight does not mean your alignment is "fine".
And why would that not be part of the "mod"? You bolt the muffler on but not put it on the hangers?

By those words, you'd convince this guy to just throw the bolts in and POOF... it's all rainbows and ponies. That's just deception
I just meant if the steering wheel is off then you would have the tie rods adjusted as well. Has happened to me doing suspension before. Not going for "deception" here jeez. Just saying that if you do it right you may not need alignment afterwards, but you might. It's not part of the mod to me because you won't necessarily NEED it. I don't really get your muffler analogy, because if you don't put it on the hangers it's going to FALL OFF. If you don't get an alignment your suspension's not going to fall out.

lowkey, i would highly suggest getting an alignment if your camber changes. Your tires will thank you.
DSM, the dry sump install looked fun hehe
