New Here - Just picked up a 2013 Midnight Plum Fit Sport

Couple of pics of the new 2013 we picked up on Sat. I'm told that the Midnight Plum (Dark Metallic Purple) is a new color for 2013.

Will be adding some Tints later this week and then starting the mods!

Neat color. You're the first with one, too.

Still had the protective paint coating on it - straight off the boat from Japan. Dealer didn't really want to sell us a 2013 as they still had a ton of 2012's on the lot

The photos don't really do it justice. In the shade it looks almost Black, but in the sun the Purple really leaps out. Unfortunately a dust storm blew through on Sat night, so it's a bit dusty too.

Wow!!! With your dust storms on the "Nightly News" and your extreme temps., it is amazing to me that anyone chooses to live in Phoenix, including my own sister. I was in Mesa on business in the late '70s in a rented Chevy Malibu. Left my hotel at 8:00 AM, turned the key to start the car, and it was already so hot that the plastic around the steering column melted around the key to keep it in the "start" position as the flywheel ground the teeth off the starter motor with the engine running. It is even hotter where you are now than it was 30+ years ago. Good luck with your "greenhouse-on-wheels".

But then again, Tucson or Yuma must be a whole lot worse. As the owner of a 2009 BBP Fit, I predict that you will regret your color choice (unless you just like dusty purple).

It's the wifes DD, but I might sneak some mods onto it for me to play with on the weekends! lol.

Will probably throw an intake on it, plus maybe a few cosmetic mods. It's going back to the dealer on Friday for the Tint job, which was included in the 'Protective Package' that we apparently couldn't buy it without! lol. But I think that entire package - which included floor mats, locking wheel nuts, cargo tray and the tint only came to $600, so not as big a rip off as Nissan (From whom I have purchased 4 new vehicles) would charge.

I like this thing so much I'm seriously thinking about ditching my Nissan Titan and getting one myself. Matching His & Hers Fits - Although I don't think I'd go with Purple!

The AC on this thing is surprisingly good! ANY color choice sucks in 116 degree heat - believe me. I drive a Black Titan Crew Cab myself and that thing takes forever to cool down. But having owned both Light Colored & Dark Colored cars - I can attest to the fact that color really makes very little difference and as for the dust, it also makes ANY color look bad if you don't keep on top of it.

I moved here from England - slight temperature difference! Have been here 11 years and the summer does suck, but then we have perfect weather from October threw May, when people in northern states have to deal with the crappy snow / ice. I'd take a few months of heat over that any day. Plus we also have zero rust here - which is nice.

All in all - I have a better life here in Arizona than I would in UK doing the same kinda work.

Very nice color. Don't bother with the intake. Spend the $$ on a rear sway bar.

Wife says I don't need a rear sway bar for her car. We'll see tho - maybe I'll sneak one on when she's not looking! lol

Congrats- I think you are the first on the forum to own a 2013 model!

Is is the same color as the Blackberry Pearl--guess we need to compare the paint color codes.

Doesn't the Sport come with a rear sway bar?

I'll have to check the color code sometime soon - That's on the plate in the engine bay? or on the drivers door sill?

There is a stock anti-sway bzr on the car already. But it is too weak to do much to provide the best handling. The Progress RSB is stronger and adds a lot of performance and safety.

Welcome aboard. Is the code BP-74P or maybe it was PB-74P (1 of the 2), I had a SiRII EK4 in that color, but I think mine had a bit more purple in the mix. I really loved that color and I'm usually a fanatic about a Honda should only be white.

On a side note, why do people rate new threads with a 1 star? I'm countering that 1 with a 5. In reality those ratings mean nothing, but I just don't understand why almost every single new thread started in this part of the forum lately somebody tags it with a 1 star.

Color Code is RP-45P on the sticker.

Just got the windows tinted. Crappy Car Port photo, but it shows the purple quite nicely now the dust is all gone.
