FS: GE Blacked Housing with LS460 Projectors
$400 shipped. Please read!
Up for sale is a set of LS460 projectors in blacked out GE housings. The paint work was professionally completed. They have two Halos in red and white over each projector, both of which work - I used the white halos. Comes with all the wiring needed, two extra 5k bulbs and Morimoto ballasts.
Here's the deal - these have some damage, but I don't know what the exact cause is or what they're worth. I'm selling these because I'm going back to stock, NOT because they have some issues. I think $500 is a pretty fair price, but I'm open to offers. If I were keeping the fit, I'd take the time to get them fixed, but sadly, I'm not keeping the fit. BlueBoogers might be able to chime in as he's the RS expert and one who sold me these bad boys. The following is what I know is wrong:
1. The high beam was stuck on the passenger side projector and I never fixed it. I cut off the socket while trying to fix it, so that will need to be reattached.
2. On the driver side, there was not a good connection (too much space) between the projector receiver and the connector that fires the lamps (please excuse my lack of knowledge or terminology here). It caused some melting on both of the connections (pictured) which I'm sure can be replaced. It also caused a smoky haze to develop on the inside of the housing. I'm not sure if this could be cleaned out, but presume that it could be. The ballasts are still GOOD.
3. One of the places where a secondary bolt is inserted to hold the driver's side housing is busted. It does not cause any problems.
