yes use the complete upper hat assy. and use the stock bolts. the bottom of the coilover is elongated for camber. lower it then get a front end alignment. tell the shop you have ajustable camber on the coilovers. mine is set for street driving. for racing you probably want a little more - camber. one other thing most shops will wan't nothing less than 4'' on the lowest part of the car to get on the alignment rack.

honestly, the only reason i got the d2's in the 1st place was because back in sept '08, they were the only company that were already ready to RnD a set for the GE8. I had them, there did their job in slammin the car, but the fact that I'm on 14K springs.... 14 freakin K springs!!! Anyways, the fact that i'm on 14K springs now with Buddy Club struts now and its infinitely more comfortable than my D2's with 6k springs.... yea. Enuff said. Don't get me wrong, if you're looking for the cheapest coilovers on the market, then yea. But if a hundred bux or two more gets you supreme daily comfortability and superior performance, then what's another couple weeks for another paycheck?

these coilovers kick ass in every way............adjustable in every way and rebuildable. they are ISO as well as TUV inspected. 99.9 percent of the coilovers made today are made in overs seas.... so spend your money wisely..

all you that call T1R jdm how do you figure? when they are based in b.c. and have been for the past 20 + years. i also have follen to be a loyal purchaser of there products..... but lets get real the fit is well equiped vehical from honda. so to every one who has a ge8 lets do our own researce as to what works... i can tell you of hand go with a japenese lowering spring. i also can tell you that the d2's coilover in awesome in everyway. and that the DIY intake will cause no cel problems. do not fall into all the hype... i come from a k20 ek to a fit lol. make the fit handle like a bat out of hell and it will. so spend all that hard eard cash elseware.

+1. I do not have d2's on my fit, I have them on another car... another case where they did not make them for my platform and we got them to do the R&D for it, so my comments will be apples to oranges, BUT I'm hearing the same gripes I have. The ride quality is BRUTAL (11k front, 9k rear, so yes its on the extreme end), and yes the car will jump all over the pavement. I see they have changed the construction a bit and I hope thats for the better. I have had them on my car for 4 years now and they have seen rain ONCE and have maybe 3k miles on them, and there is a fair amount of rust buildup on them.

I've done my reading on the D2's on different platforms and from what I've seen, no one can get them to stock ride hight in the front (pushing things I can get within a half inch), rears: I can raise those to the moon. So you will be forced into having some drop. The one really nice thing, is with my spring rates there is ZERO strut travel. My car has spent most of its time with less than a quarter inch gap between the tires and the wall liner without ever scraping (including many autocross events).

The Yellow Speed is a really small company in Taiwan, there are only 5 employees working there, it’s like a household factory, also there is no ISO approval for the products they make. It’s the company which specialized in pirating others’ products.

In fact, Yellow Speed just founded before Oct. in 2010, the person who in charge of Yellow Speed company used to work in D2 company, but he got fired due to theft. So far D2 has started to sue the company, as I notice, they pirate D2’s patent as well.

If there is someone who is interested in buying their products, perhaps it won’t be under any warranty as the company might be out of business at any time.

P.S. You can post the message above to any website, chat room in public, if there are any unrealistic, we will take the responsibility.

My boy had them on his Infiniti. At first you are blinded by the aggressive drop and tighter handling. But then the constant squeaking comes up and you notice that the ride is too firm for a DD. The squeaking is the worst part. And even shipping the one coilovers to D2 and having it returned, it did not fix the issue.

A search online will prove that this is a common problem. Stay away from D2. A few people having a good experience does not change the fact that the majority have issues.
