H&R springs on my GE8
Last week I finally got around to installing my H&R springs. It wasn't nearly as difficult as the people on this forum make it out to be. In addition to leaving the cowling intact, we removed the outer axle retaining nut to release the axle from the spindle to reduce the threat of the axle disconnecting internally. Total install was less than 3 hrs (using 1 jack & 2 jack stands). The front is now 2.1" lower and the rear is 1.5" lower.
The cornering grip is improved and body roll reduced. The stiffer springs really substantiate the need to get rid of the stock Dunnys. I have to run 42+ lbs of air to keep them from rolling over and playing dead. It's time to move on to a stickier tire.
Anyway, here's a couple of pix:

H&R generally does not publicize their spring rates. I asked but didn't get a definitive answer. I am pleased with the increased stiffness and surprised that the ride quality is very good.

If you really a soft ride like the stock springs offer, stick with them.

Personally, I think the ride is quite acceptable. These are progressive rate springs. They are only mildly stiffer in the first 1" of compression and the stiffness ramps up from there. They ultimately offer a huge gain in cornering ability, when pressed. I am willing to sacrifice the high stance, side wind vulnerability and the general wigglin' & jigglin' of the stock suspension for increased stability and all around better handling.

I have since added a Progress rear sway bar. That combined with the wider, lighter wheels, the Continental Extreme DW tires, the H&R springs and a proper alignment have transformed Enzo Jr into a really decent handling car. Now if it only had about 60 more HP.

I really can't complain about the ride quality. I am looking to upgrade the shocks. There isn't much of a selection, but I want something that I can adjust so that I can optimize the cornering abilities.
The handling with these springs is very controlled at the limits that I've taken them to. I ran the "Tail of the Dragon" with a group that included: BMW 3 series, WRX, Civic Si, VW GTI, Honda S2K, etc. and all of them will vouch for the handling of my Fit. I think they were very surprised!
