spacers..

i need some answers on spacers, i've tried searching, i've tried hunting, i can't find anything good except fs posts.

i'm thinking about buying some because i'd like to be a little more flush, prob not "hellaflush", but at least a little closer to the edge. as long as i don't go hellaflush, i don't really have to roll my fenders, right? what are spacers going to do to my camber? and i'm looking at there seem to be 2 different types of spacers. the ones you sandwich between hub and wheel, then the type that have a whole new set of lugs attached. I'm assuming the second type are better because you get full rotation of your lugs. any advice would be a huge help guys.

also, any advice on size?

Doesn't it depend on offset as well?

Sorry. On my phone. Hit pay before I could finish.

To op. What's size rims and offset are you running? That will depend on what spacers to get.

Yea, it does. Sorry, apparently it was too late for me to remember those details. I'm just on the OEM sport rim and dropped on t1r springs.

You'll be sitting nice on 10mm. Anything over you might have to roll your fenders. Can you post pictures of the drop? Also what is the OEM wheel specs for your year, I have a 2012, I'm pretty sure it's the same as all the other sport 16" alloys but I'll have to double check.

I put a set of 30mm. looked great, but i couldn't make a turn without the rears rubbing.

stock size for the 09 sport rim is 16x6 53mm offset.

i had to take them back off. now i need to decide if i want to roll the fenders (gotta find someone to do it), get a smaller spacer (maybe 15mm) or just get a wheel with an offset around 30-35.

pic for reference... hard to see the tires though.

r u sure it was the rears? did u put spacers on the front?

i have 205 tires on +41 wheels, so the outside edge of mine basically moved 22mm. the rears don't rub, but the front do on fast bumpy turns.

I'd say only roll them if you get aftermarket wheels with an aggressive offset (30-35). Otherwise run 10-15mm spacers with the stock wheels and it'll be sitting nice.

I only put spacers on the rear, so yes I'm sure. I have 205/50/16 tires. A 15-20mm would be perfect I think.

you have 205s AND 30 mm spacers? wow... no wonder.

i think the 15s or even the 10mm spacers are your best bet.

jnesselroad, I really like what you did with the rims.

And for anyone who hasn't seen this website ( Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com ) it's a good place to figure out the setup you want.

Anyways, which 30mm spacers did you end up getting?

You should just wait and save money and get real good quality wheels.

J, i think your current setup looks terrific and will be better with 10 mm spacers in rear. Should you decide on new wheels though the top would match your car better IMO. Oh, your visors are the oem i presume?

Regarding wheel space: discovered that the rear wheels are spaced about an inch closer to each other in width than the front ones.

Those XXR only come in a +25 or +0 offset, since you don't want to roll your fenders I wont get those plus they poke out a lot in the front and a little in the rear. I'm running 15x7 +20 with 195/50 still not lower Yet! but not rubbing on stock springs.
